now-a-days? YIKES!!!! What is this religous world coming to????"
You need to pray and admit to God that you are a sinner, and that you need Jesus. You then need to ask God to forgive you of your sins through Jesus, and ask Jesus to be the Lord of your life.
Jesus died so that you may spend eternity in heaven. Have you kept all of the ten commandments (thou shalt not... steal, bear false witness, covet, commit adultery, etc)? Your answer is no. Scripture tells us that all have sinned, and have fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). But verse 24 tells us that we "are justified freely by His grace (God's grace) through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." The ten commandments are by no means 'suggestions', nor have they ever been, nor will they ever be. To 'be saved' is in accordance with the teachings of Jesus, who says: "No one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again." (John 3:3). But how is one saved? Romans 10:9 says: "That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus Christ is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." (born again). You need to pray and admit to God that you are a sinner, and that you need Jesus. You then need to ask God to forgive you of your sins through Jesus, and ask Jesus to be the Lord of your life.
If you want to accept God's free gift of salvation, pray this prayer: Father, I am a sinner. I know that I will never live up to You or Your will. Lord, I ask Jesus to come into my heart and forgive me of my sins. Lord Jesus, I know you died on the cross for my sins and rose again on the third day. Jesus, I ask you to be the Lord of my life. I turn away from sin and I turn to You, Lord. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
If you prayed that prayer, e-mail me back. Try to find a conservative, bible teaching church in your area. If you don't have a bible, e-mail me and I'll send you one. If you do, read the gospel of John (4th book in the New Testament). If you prayed this prayer and believed it in your heart, you are now holy and blameless before the Lord Jesus Christ. If you didn't pray this prayer, please e-mail me anyways.

Cordell,
Sorry it took me so long to reply, I have been out of town for the past week and since I've been doing some construction work at the site of my brother's new house.
Anyways... in response to your message I will refer to a passage in Romans (Romans 5:20-6:2, pay special attet) that says: The law was added so that the trespass might increase. But where the sin increased, grace increased all the more, so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. What shall we say then? Shall we keep on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
God Bless!
