It is good to see someone who is genuinely concerned about what God would have us do. Your inquiry is a worthy one and you should definately seek an answer to your questions.
I would suggest, first, that you read the book of Hebrews. This book was written to Jewish Christians to show them that the Law had been done away. It isn't necessary to keep the Sabbath. It was a part of a Law that was given to the Isrealites. That law was replaced when Christ fulfilled it. In several other places, you find the question of circumcision discussed. Circumcision was a practice that was mandated under the Law and was done away with under the new covenant.
That being said, the position of the Lord's church has never changed in this regard. What the New Testament declares to be sin is still sin.
I would encourage you to contact a member of the church of Christ in your area. If you don't know anyone or just want me to do the work for you, let me know where you live and I'll find someone for you to talk to myself.
I would also be glad to study any questions you may have privately by email.
Mick
