MY TESTIMONY TO THE WORLD

I want also to express my testimony that I know that President Hinckley is a true and living prophet of God. I have studied nearly all of his words from conference since he was called in 1957. He has shown so much love for the members of this Church which I can testify I have felt by reading his words. And I also have a testimony of his counselors and all of the Apostles, and all of our Church leaders.

I also wanted to say to those who are not of our faith, that if you teach about Christ and teach what he taught, and strive to live as he lived, then I think you are wonderful and I would encourage you to continue in what you are doing until that great day when the Savior comes. I would also pray that you one day are able to find the truth of the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints. There are a lot of lies floating around about this church, but hear the words of one who is in the Mormon church and knows. This church changes lives. It gives you purpose and desire to do good. If I could only tell you all the things I've gained from being a member of this Church. To name a few, I have been completely changed. I use to be so selfish, so crude and rude, so uncaring of others, so disrespectful, and many other things. But by being a member of this Church a great refining fire has come upon me, my direction in life has changed, my love for others has grown, and more importantly my love of the Savior has greatly increased. I would invite all, even those who are of our faith and have faltered, to let this great refining fire come upon you and purge you to your very soul, that you may put off the evil of the world and take up your cross and follow the Savior.

And now, I would like to say a little more to those of our faith who have faltered. Remember always that the Savior loves you, and though the adversary will try to tell you differently, it's never to late to come back. It's true that this life is hard, but if it was easy would it be worth it? I want you to know that there was a time when I was down and greatly struggling because of my being so selfish, and I pleaded with our Father in Heaven to save me and not let me fall. And I can assure you that He was there for me. He extended his loving hand of mercy toward me and brought me back. I can tell you that it wasn't easy though, and it took a great deal of being purged with that refining fire of this Gospel to keep me from falling away and starting to do bad things, but I the Lord has blessed me with the power to stay strong and not fall, and I have been filled with such great joy that I can only wish that you would come and partake of it.

Now, I would like to speak to those who are of our faith and are faithful but enduring great trials. You are simply wonderful! The Savior always applies the most weight to those he wishes to become the strongest. You are storing up in heaven the greatest of all treasures, which is exaltation and eternal life. Continue in prayer and fasting and the Lord will see you rewarded when your trials are finished.

Finally, to all who read this, God lives. He has a plan for His children here on earth. He knows each one of you by name, and He does care about everything that happens to you. I would hope that all of you would diligently seek him, for he desires all to be in His Kingdom. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
